Retreat in a Day with Stephanie Dowrick. “Cooperating With Life”
Saturday Jan 17th 2015 – 9.30am to 4.30pm at St Columba Centre, 40 Vermont St, Ponsonby, Auckland NZ. Price: NZD$115 (includes lunch).
This one-day retreat offers a superb chance to move into 2015 with renewed energy, resolution and a full and hopeful heart. In what has become a favourite way to start the year, Stephanie will offer ample time for teaching, reflection and discussion over a wonderfully accepting and inspirational day. Writer and spiritual teacher Dr Stephanie Dowrick will bring us a new and immediately practical approach to thinking about change or challenges in our personal or more public lives. It’s vital to know how we regard challenges (with outrage, dread or quiet confidence). It’s also vital to clarify our current vision and motivation. This will help us choose our attitudes and sense of direction, as well as the strengths we long to develop. Central to this is discovering self-compassion, and how this can bring us into more accepting, spacious relationships with others.
“Stephanie Dowrick is an extraordinary facilitator with an uncanny ability to pull a disparate group into a cohesive and comfortable state from the word ‘go’. We all thrived under her tutelage.” Judith White (Writing in Kyoto, 2012)
“This retreat has been a deep refreshment for my ‘parched’ soul…With all the support and love offered here, I have begun to feel life entering once again into my body, my soul and my spirit. ” Judith S-H (Easter, Mana, 2013)
