Islamic Spirituality (Sufism): Lecture Series III, 10–31 October 2014
Once again we are privileged to use the audio recordings of Professor Seyyed Hossein Nasr of George Washington University at the Australian Centre for Sufism and Irfanic Studies (ACSIS) so that people in Australia can have the experience of sitting in the classroom with Professor Nasr as he lectures on Sufism. This is a rare opportunity to learn from such a distinguished scholar and a world renowned authority on Islamic Spirituality. Students travel from all over the world to study with Professor Nasr and many of the contemporary scholars and teachers of Islamic Philosophy and Sufism have been students of Professor Nasr – he is known as “the teacher of teachers”. Sheikha Fleur Nassery Bonnin will explore these teachings and interact with participants to provide the necessary guidance and insight.
We are pleased to announce this third lecture series on Islamic Spirituality (Sufism). The main topics include:
– The inner landscape of human existence
– Human relationship with God
– Human responsibility in view of this relationship
– The levels of the self (nafs)

Times: 7.00pm to 8.30pm / 8.45pm as required
